White Gold


Tradition and history matter in any culture. White gold or a type of salt in the valley of Anana provided a way of surviving for the local community. each family had a tank in which salt water and sun provided the importante elements in producing in pure flor de sal.


Later on in the 1970s industrial extraction put many artisians out of business. With these industrial conflicts tanks were abandoned, wooden poles detiorated, terraces gave way and the salt began to decay. the local populatoin in order to save their salt created a foundation to enable the grdual recovery of the salt.


The work of the communtiy in this foundation was what saved the history and tradition of the valley. their exceptional tecniques were preserved as well as their white gold that was widely known as you can see the own people had an interest in their salt and did everything they could in order to save it.
